PO Files Consistency Checker

Hello,

I have written a tiny Perl script (pochecks.pl) that checks the consistency of a given po file:

 1. Uniform translation of messages that are identical except
    for capitalization, shortcuts, and shortcut notation.
 2. Usage of the following elements in both the original and
    the translated message (or no usage at all):
    shortcuts ("&" and "|..."), trailing space, trailing colon

By means of this script, I was able to fix many errors and inconsistencies in de.po. I applied it to da.po and - among others - it complains about the following:

  Different translations for 'red':
    'Red' => 'Gendan'
    'red' => 'rød'
  Missing or redundant colon:
    'LaTeX &options:' => 'LaTeX-&indstillinger'
  Missing or redundant space:
    'Error: Cannot open file: ' => 'Fejl: Kan ikke åbne fil:'

Although the script produces a few false positive (11 for de.po), I think that other translators will also benefit from it. Therefore, it would be nice if someone adds it to the lyx-devel/po directory.
