Size of binary

Hello,

if I compile LyX 1.3.0cvs with gcc 3.2 (debug information enabled), I get a binary > 80MB.

I can guess the answer but is there any secret compiler switch that minimizes the size? With a binary of that size, it is almost impossible for me to test LyX.
