Not that much bloat, but Alpha is 64 bit and a close to doubling in
binary size is to be expected.

The gcc linker and compiler are getting better all the time and this
reduces binary sizes on all platforms.

Still these binary sizes do not bother me a lot.
(I am working on an embedded project that have some problems
though...)
