OK now I'm getting worried!
That ERT at the top of my document, \pagestyle{empty}, wasn't being
noticed by view->dvi so I added the carriage return inside the ERT as
before when it was working.
All looked good, but LaTeX run gave 2 errors in the paragraphs below.
It's as if an extra '}' is being seen by LaTeX below, at the end of two
paragraphs. These paragraphs are sections with guarded returns (they
form the title page).
This is really freaking me out, man. Have a go for yourselves. Can you
insert TeX as the first thing in a document, in the standard environment
(bold if it matters). Try what I tried: \pagestyle{empty}.
If it's not freaking you out, then maybe repeat my last few posts on the
subject. Something's gotten very bent in my document =)
