Yes, I'm more than happy with such compromises.

I only wanted to let you know that there was something else
than "small-is-beautiful" that inspired me to minimize the
size of dialogs. It the "small-is-the-smallest-allowed" thing!

Your dimensions:
 box: 0 0 395 235
My dimensions:
 box: 0 0 435 235


Ah, I see. I've liked "395" as a sort of default dimension,
since it is the minimum width for dialogs that have all four
Restore/OK/Apply/Cancel buttons:

     [Restore]   [  OK   ] [Apply  ] [Cancel ]
    5 + 90 +   15 + 90  + 5 + 90 +  5 + 90  + 5 = 395

(5 in the margins and inbetween, but 15 between Restore and OK).

All dialogs I have redone, have Restore/OK/Apply/Cancel buttons
of width 90; also, all other widgets have a height of 25 (was
30 before).
