What's against? What's in favour? Are there alternatives? Hardcode dvips would imply a strict dependency of LyX on dvips. It also would mean we can remove the tab in the preferences. I think hardcoding dvips would not be bad, unless there are alternatives that are better and indeed used by some people. Are there? Wouldn't these \include and \input commands bypass the problems of having to process a whole lot before printing !?!? --------- Today I've installed xpp on my FreeBSD PC (http://cups.sourceforge.net/xpp).
