Hi, Darren. The resulting LaTeX run uses the correct version of the figure, so your output should be fine. The bug lies in LyX's rendering of the image on the screen. LyX stores the pixmap using the file name as the identifier. LyX 1.2.X doesn't bother to check if the image changes. The bug has been squashed in CVS and so all should be fine in LyX 1.3.
