Why impose such a restriction, which also complicated the code ?
We can allow having both InsetOptional (short title) and LaTeXParam string
e.g. \foo[a]{b}{c} where {b} in LatexParam, and [a] is short inset.
I don't know if this is useful, but the code is simpler:
We just need a boolean OptionalArgument tag in the layout file.
