This is because you do not want to hear the arguments which go
alongside this mantra.

It is _you_ who have to convince us that this was a wise move,
actually.  All I hear is this mantra in the background "modern C++,
modern C++, modern C++".  Of course, if LyX managed to get funding from
the Modern C++ Propaganda Fund, I would be willing to reconsider my
position.
