Could you try the appended patch? I do not have sixpack or other
lyxserver-able program here, so I could not test it.

Notice that the text which got cut off comes before the boundary,
--=-=-=.  In case of a multipart message, the boundary cookie (in this
case --=-=-=) bounds each part of the message.  So the text

should have come after the first cookie.  My gnus (Gnus v5.9.0)
coming with Emacs/21.1 does this correctly.  Look:

So I attribute the problem to a bug in GNUS, though I'll ask some
experts too.  Also, I am not sure the list manager is behaving
correctly, though my suspicion is that it has no choice if it wants to
remove mime parts.

I see that Lars complained too---he is also using Gnus v5.8.8
