sure, maybe that it makes sense inside LyX but not in the layout files. I for myself do not like too much translated stuff, because a lot of users use package fancyhdr and thes often redefine the pagestyles. > Won't our German users prefer a «ein shickes Seitenformat» to "a fancy page > style"? there is an enhancement: ein todschickes Seitenformat ... :-) just kidding ... in fancyhdr I write stuff like \tenewcommand\fancypagestyle{plain}{...} and not \fancypagestyle{einfach} too much translated stuff doesn't make life easier ...
