Well it should be easy to set the layout there, shouldn't it. We have the Buffer * pointer and so we can access the bufferparams and with that we can set the DefaultLayout in all cells. The old tabular code did not have layout settings inside cells so all cells are regarded as "Standard" layout. Before this was guarateed as the initial value was the right on now with the string stuff this became a bit more difficult but surely it's easy in this case. I'll have a look.
