What about just putting either of the last two in CVS? I had a 
pre-version of the second one in my tree, and it performed nicely on
the few small things that I tested it on (the textclass change 
related bugs on cut/change doc/paste and cut/change class/undo).

I fear that that is the best way to get effective feedback quickly.

I believe them to be low risk, being not 'deep' changes.  Just lots 
of co-ordinated little changes all over the place. The cleanup effect 
may even help us to get 1.2 out a little quicker ;-)
