Dear Juergen, > I think it is not possible to set H. Alignment in a column > with fixed width, multicolumn cell or not.
It is possible to have a _centered_ multicolumn cell (_without_ fixed width) within a column where all other cells have a fixed width (as a general property of the column)! Thus it is not correct if you disable H Alignment for multicolumn cells without fixed width! However, I think H Alignment should be disabled for a multicolumn cell if it has a dedicated fixed width (cell property). Please consider this for your patch. Another problem that I detected a couple of minutes ago: - If paragraph separation is set to "indentation" in the document layout, the paragraphs within a fixed width cell are indented, too. Looks reasonable at first glance but LaTeX does not consider this indentation. Is there a simple way to ignore indentation within table cells? Finally: Am I the only one who experiences regular crashes when closing LyX even without memory checker? (Please have a look at my bug list for a detailed njamd report) Have a nice day, Michael PS: Is there any problem for which you would like me to run Purify. I might be able to spare an hour at the weekend.
