Yes you're right I just verified ;)

Well it's a nice explanation, but we only support custom margins with the
geometry package! So if you tell me that defining the left/right margins
in geometry is the same as defining inner=left/outer=right margin for a
document with the activated twoside option, then we can just change the text
if we are in a 2-side document, otherwise if we would have to include more
latex stuff to support this then I'll would say put it on the feature/request
list.
