I think WinWord has it and maybe others, too. > And how would I tell the geometry packages which is what? latex always say - oddsidemargin, which is left for one- and twoside (inner) - evensidemargin, which is left for even pages in twosidemode (outer) the left/rightmargins are only valid in list-environments, they do not belong to the pagedefinition and therefore they are not set in the geometry package. inner/outer seems to be the better definition for the twosidemode, because you do not have to know where are even/odd pages.
