I remember the time when Lars said that the figure inset should be rewritten very urgently. I myself experienced problems with Postscript files as well that were not painted on screen. The new graphics inset might not be perfect but it has all features of the former figure inset. Whatever the problems of the new graphics inset are, I think they are small compared with all the other lyX bugs. So why not fixing them before 1.2.0? Michael
