I don't know. I guess it's about four or five lines
mkdir $1
cd $1
somehow create fonts.dir
# there is a 'mkfontdir' command but I do not know how to use it
xset +fp $1
But what I know is:
1. It does not hurt at all. If the user does not do anything, he won't
notice anything. If the user knows how to do it, he'll get a hundred new
symbols or so. This is much more than I hacked into math_macrotable
manually.
2. I have no idea how fonts work. Really. I started poking around these
things about two weeks ago. Somebody with more insight can probably come up
with some magic one-liner. Apart from that this is a kind of thing that
could be figured out at compile/install time. Now, the configure stuff is
another huge back box for me, so I can't do anything there, either.
