as far as i remember you wanted individual control of placing 
floats by lyx?
anyway, the problem are not all floats but only the one
which has to be placed in a different way. therefore i 
had to control all floats, because lyx don't support
the other way. therefore ert for all.

i agree, if you mean the lyx-paragraph layout latex. 
but this is independent from ert-stuff-question.
