This is where I disagree. One should certainly not add constructs like
minipages just for fun. Anyway, the effect will definitely not be what
people expect (the footnotes will be at the bottom of the minipage,
not at the bottom of the page).
The best would be to have a way to tell people that this footnote will
not work (either disable its insertion or insert an error box at this
place of the text when generating LaTeX).
