In the immediate future --- zero. I'm pretty busy!

But I upgraded to this compiler 8 months ago. Admittedly, it wasn't bleeding 
edge even then but DEC have introduced so much bloat into their distro that I 
took my sys admin's advice and upgraded to 4.0e rather than 4.0f.

For the time being I'm happy using v1.18 of lyxsum.C. This code isn't likely 
to change again is it, and nothing else uses crc.h

Incidentally, what is it that the compiler is complaining about?
