Besides, as Linux is poised to take over the world these windows only
solutions will be dead and we will be poised to take over the word
processor market on the GULW (Grand Unified Linux World).
Anyhow the point is that Xforms works, for most of the needs it does its
work, we are interested in adding GUII as a way to be able to have
access to the largest crowd possible and not as a way to dump Xforms.
There are features that are much more pressing than GUII (or switching
to a single toolkit), such as revamping the mathed code, improving the
table support code. Basically LyX has down shifted gears in order to
refit it with better tools for the future, after these refits we will up
the gear and be a much better solution with the ability to add support
for many more requested features.
Effectively the GUII work is slow because it's not that important.
Why does it matter to you to use KDE and not Xforms? What is so
pressing, so important that the GUI will be done in some other toolkit
now and not in XForms?
