I'm pretty sure Pavel is talking about that patch. And indeed, I can
reproduce that in that case you need to press cancel twice.
I have sent what I believe to be a better simpler fix. If it works, I
can backport it (I can propose an even simpler one, actually).
Understood. I also agree with Pavel, though, that this is better than
the current situation. Ideally, we'll find the cause, but for now....
That said, the crash just reported with math is nasty enough that it'd
be nice to fix it for 2.5.1.

It is fixed now in master at edffc7d6ed3. Please test it hard before I
backport it. Or Riki, if you prefer I can backport it right away for
testing.
