From what I understand, this would set BOOST, Z, DTL, HUNSPELL, and ICONV to default to ON? I don't have any personal preference since it's easy for me to change my build script accordingly, but I don't know if JMarc's original argument of being a <<standard part of Unix>> applies to boost, for example. That said, I really don't know anything about these types of issues so I'm fine with whatever you all prefer. Scott
