Just to be sure about what I am talking, let us look into Python 3.8. This the minimum version that we will support for the next LyX versions. Python 3.8 is at the end-of-line and is no longer supported upstream. The support for it, even in terms of security releases, has run out this month. https://devguide.python.org/versions/ So you need to trust an external entity to rely on its maintenance.
