Ok, this is what I was expecting. What I was not getting is that is's actually correct to have those elements present in the structure as well, they just the default signal "off". We might pay little performance price of having map larger (thus operations on it), but that's neglibigle for 100 line table. So my only comment is that, while this is correct and convenient, comments should be added to the code so apart from coverity human readers have chance to get quickly the logic behind.
