This is still not to be included in CVS, but it is getting closer...
The core should be stable now, some of the numbering/labeling stuff is
back, adding rows to a mulitline environment is "sort of working".
There are still a few drawing glitches (selection is "too high", not
every macro argument gets expanded properly on screen etc), however, it
should be "functional" in the sense that it should be possible to do
everything that was possible before the cleaning started.
I removed a few things I did not understand, so if your favourite mathed
feature is missing, cry out loud, that's a bug _now_.
