Open Additional.lyx (rw),
select 'not ignoring format' in adv. F & R
search for 'eirmod' (langauge Latin)

Try again with regex involved e.g. "\regexp{eirmod\endregexp{}}"

I don't see time difference between the two.
For me, the search time is passable, buf of course much slower than in quick 
search.
