My thought is that this will reduce the (admittedly, minimal) work to
characterize/share the user environment information.  At present, one must
copy/paste text or take a screenshot to accompany a MWE.

With this approach, the user environment information could be included as
part of the MWE either by

   1. Using the proper template to base the MWE off of (assuming the MWE
   doesn't require a particular template of its own) or,
   2. As I'd prefer, the information could be inserted into prepared MWE
   before submission.
