I agree, this is quite slick.

A comment/question for consideration: with this improved interface to
environment information, can/should there be a "standard debugging
information inset" that contains the information typically useful
for...debugging?  This may be somewhat intrusive (e.g., querying OS
version, display information, etc.).  However, it might provide a one-click
solution for folks reporting problems/bugs to gather and consistently
present environment information useful to categorizing and/or resolving
bugs.

Perhaps instead of making something to insert, an otherwise "vanilla"
template could be constructed with this information laid out that a user
could construct a MWE out of to demonstrate the unexpected/aberrant
behavior?

In any case, thanks for your continued hard work on new and interesting
features.
