I don't see the file for Japanese. I might just be misunderstanding something. What is the file path to the Japanese localization of the file DummyTextDocument.txt? The patch that you put in from Kornel causes the Japanese EmbeddedObjects.lyx to use the English version of that file, which to me makes sense because there is no Japanese DummyTextDocument.txt.
