lyx shows no errors. That is, the stderror-output shows that the command tar 
could not be executed, but if
lyx is not started from a terminal, there is no sign of errors.
I would expect some dialog-window.

It should be possible, similarly to when we compile latex and there's errors 
showing up in a dialog, but will need some extra time to get there.
