I "accepted" my changes but kept the tracking so that the small corrections
in response to your test are shown.

This is an artefact of change tracking. If you delete e.g. complete list
entries, the empty entry remains. Similarily, empty slides remain after
removing a complete slide.
The empty line vanished (here) after accepting the changes.

Strange. I have different problems...

This depends on the document options.
I did a comprehensive test of the various combinations. 
Do you think is is good to append the 4 tables with test results to the guide?

Only, if patch 63f41711cb5bda is backported, too. Because bug
#10394 Do not error on missing characters in "nullfont" affects "seminar".

Otherwise we will have to add "ignore missing characters in nullfont" errors
to the guide (might be a good idea anyway).

I have no preference whether to move the document from examples to
"special guides". Maybe Uwe can tell.
