I agree with Georg on that. It would be better to have distinct threads,
at least for groups of patches that fit together.
This is not a ticket on the bug tracker. Feel free to open a new thread
by replying to the first message when you are ready to comment on the
other patches.
I will just make one general remark: is there a reason why you use
explicitly std::bind() instead of just bind? I'd prefer to drop the
std:: prefix at places where it is possible.
An omission. I already did that for the others, I'll fix that.
