I can't see where font Awesome is loaded - the font selectiong GUI shows all
is set to "default". This seems to be some internal font setting of the
modernCV package (or its style options). Nothing to blame the document edits.

I don't think there is a CJK Unified Ideograph in the Spanish CV.
Rather, there is some mix-up in the character selection internals.
We had such strange "spurious" errors for other documents:
