Dear Developers:
I currently use LyX 2.4.1 under Windows 8.1.
Please consider developing the following feature:
A new reset button in the LyX: Text Style window to instantly change all
seven 'entries' in that window to all become "No Change".
Or at least please tell naive users like me what is the LFUN command to
be typed after alt-X which will make this "global" change occur.
(This can then be easily "automated" with the marvelous help of
"autohotkey".)
The cumulative time and energy saving effects of having this feature
should be self evident.
My request is apparently NOT the same as the following existing request in
the current feature poll:
"Reset Text Style Button so that customized text styles can be reset with
one click instead of 7 to 15 clicks."
It is written under that request that:
"(you know you can do that already by Alt+C+<space>?)"
Indeed Alt+C+<space> certainly transforms currently highlighted text to
the default format.
But the next time I reopen the LyX: Text Style window, nothing has changed
there, all seven fields (Family, Series, Shape, Color, Language, Size,
Misc) still show whatever settings I chose for them last time.
Many many thanks for a WONDERFUL program which I have been using very
happily and very gratefully for many years now.
Best wishes,
Michael Cwikel
P.S. I also invite you to look at:

for many other rather older suggestions that I have for
improving LyX. Perhaps meanwhile some of these have already been
implemented independently of me.
