They are far too wordy. The existence of COPYING should suffice, although
I don't want to get dragged into a huge argument about the vagaries of
copyright law :)

There is no (read: zero) consistency in the LyX source in this respect.
I don't particularly want to write a novel for every file.

How about this :

 * File.C
 * Copyright 2001 The LyX Team
 */

I suppose the changelog can be used to find who introduced the bug or weird code.
