I fully understand your problems. On the other hand, it is quite unusual that a
new version lacks old features. 

The number 1.2.0 implies that many new features (and probably many new problems
:-)) will be introduced in the next version  But I do not require new features,
I would be very happy if the existing ones work in the expected way (maybe this
sounds a bit to negative; LyX is an excellent tool after all). How about an
interim version 1.1.7 that can be released more quickly?
