Our problem is that we cannot afford to have both a stable a a
development branch. The release of "fix" versions is only possible
because because the changes are _very_ small, so there is not muchg to
doublecheck.
Anyway we do not have any fix for these particular table bugs right
now, so the discussion is a bit theoretical... In fact, rather than
real bugs, these are functionalities of the old tables that have not
been ported to the new ones.
