bindings dying?

I've had the line

\bind "M-p g"  "layout Slide"

in my lyxrc for a couple of years now.  It has suddenly stopped working. 
I believe it worked for a while after my cvs update a couple of weeks
ago (I use it all the time to make slides for classes, so I'd probably
notice within a day or two).

I now get the message at the bottom,

Unkown sequence M-p g

My other sequences seem to be dead, too.
