Further: -- the example that Uwe added to the bug report was also a table using multi-columns -- the fact that both times it is reported as a random crash usually indicates it is triggered by auto-save -- the fact that the emergency file is written until a certain Table inset indicates that there is a problem writing the document and that is thus triggers a crash during auto-save -- also I get the impression we end up in an infinite loop.
