Dear Allan,
dear listmembers,
many thanks for this clarification. However, how do I tell lyx which size and
position I would appreciate to get as default and standard for **all** users? I
tried the preferences dialog, but I did not find an option - and this one would
be local only (?) - for the setting of the geometry. A grep "eometry" within the
doc-directory did not show apropriate results. Grepping for "ildschirm" (a part
of the german expression for screen) yielded results, but not what I expected
to see. A grep "geometry" in lyx.man also yields no results. So, to get
straightforward: what would be the replacement for:
/usr/lib/X11/app-defaults/LyX:
LyX.height: 900
LyX.width: 900
LyX.ypos: 10
LyX.xpos: 150
as a global setting for all users on one system? Besides; I was not able to
enter the Look & Feel part of the preferences menue, maybe it can be found
there?
Many thanks for any recommendation!
Take care
