As I wrote in my first mail, please try out to right click on your cfloat label and there choose the option "Span columns". Afterwards you should be able to reduce the bow width to 100 col%.

Oops, my bad, I meant the other way around of course, the box spans two columns (I'm not sure if it can actually span two columns, but its size should be 207 %col) and the figure is embedded inside it. Making the figure span two columns in the teaser makes it disappear. There's another solution: Make the box 100 %col, and just use large graphics that spans two columns in the float (without specifying span columns), and add inside the box a -4.1cm horizontal space to make the box start at the beginning of the two columns, instead of being in the center of them both. This agrees with lyx.
