Yes and there are some other bugs in the official one because I could not reach Joost and nobody
else took care. So it is time to complete the new installer which can be maintained by more than one

You misunderstood. I just compiled the 'official' installer.
Does it come with GhostScript 9.05 and the latest ImageMagick? If yes, how did you manage that
ImageMagick could be installer when the user decides to install LyX without admin privileges?
