It has been about two months since the release of 2.0.1, and we have collected a good number of bug fixes. So I'm intending to freeze strings in preparation for the next release fairly soon. Please have a look at the 2.0.2 targeted bugs here: http://www.lyx.org/trac/wiki/BugTrackerHome#Unresolvedbugstargetedtonextmaintenancerelease2.0.2 and let me know if there are any that will likely involve string freezes you'd like to see fixed before 2.0.2. Otherwise, I'll plan to do the string freeze probably this weekend.
