The module is described in the example file lilypond.lyx. This file is
in svn. Please give it a try. It shows different examples, including
some that are wrapped with preview insets. Those should display an
picture in LyX's screen. In principle, all you need is a fairly recent
version of lilypond. But I did not have the ability to test on windows
OS. Is it only the preview function that does not work? What about the
export to DVI or PDF?
