I wasn't sure where the UI discussion left off. It seems that restructuring some of the menus and introducing a new icon theme would be beneficial, but did we ever come to a consensus as to which icons we might want to use? While I personally prefer the Oxygen icons, I think that substituting the LibreOffice icons would better than what we have now. But if we can't come to an agreement of what the new icons should look like, would it be better to wait until 2.1? I've also thought about approaching the KDE and Ubuntu artwork communities to see if they might consider helping us create a theme. I'm a member of both teams and have seen them respond favorably to other projects in the past when they've made similar requests. If we decide on that route, though, it would be very good if we specified what we are looking for in the new "look." It also might be worthwhile to request a design review with recommendations on how the UI might be cleaned up and better organized. Again, both teams have been helpful to other projects looking to undergo UI redesigns. These are just some thoughts, though. While I would love to see an interface overhaul as part of the 2.0 improvements, there are enough improvements that it might be better to wait. Cheers, Rob
