The document consists of three parts only, two of them are small. But it is a mathematical text full of formulas and cross-references inside. I can send it to lyx gurus (not for public domain). I see that 1.6 substantially differs from 1.5 in that way. So now the only tool for smart working on such big mathbook texts is lyx-1.5. It makes me trying to compile lyx-1.5 in squeeze, with no success (i'm a newbie in compiling). Lenny lyx-1.5.5-1 binary works in squeeze. It produces fine pdfs, but lyx screen is corrupted (spaces between text lines are wrong). It makes lyx-1.5 hardly usable in squeeze. I think the matter is the difference libqtcore4 4.4.3-1 (lenny) vs. 4.4.6 (squeeze) The problem is critical for math geeks like me so i'll try. Firstly i intend to compile lyx-1.5 and i suppose it needs BOOST_FILESYSTEM_VERSION 2 option. (http://www.boost.org/doc/libs/1_45_0/libs/filesystem/v2/doc/index.htm) Can somebody help me how to: "Define macro BOOST_FILESYSTEM_VERSION as 2 to use Version 2. You may do this via a compiler argument or via #define BOOST_FILESYSTEM_VERSION 2" Thanks in advance Andrei
