instant preview and postscript specials

Dear list,

How can one use the new preview inset (LyX 2.0) to display \psfrag 
replacements? dvipng does not support it, so you need to go the route of 
LaTeX > dvi > eps > ps > png, right? Is it possible to instruct the 
preview mechanism to do this?

I think tikz figures require postscript as well. Maybe there could be a 
"needps" flag for such tasks?
