Hi Peter, Thanks for the recommendations! I'll take a close look at the patch. If you'd like to take things for a test drive, it might be better to use the version over on launchpad (https://launchpad.net/lyx-outline). It incorporates the model changes sent yesterday in addition to one of the custom views. (It's also synced against SVN, most recently as of this morning.) It's pretty easy to compile with CMake and Qt Creator.
I've tested the Launchpad version on Linux and Windows and (so far), everything appears to be working. Also, if you have any thoughts on UI, I'd love to hear those as well. Cheers, Rob
